CST Testing Window- This year, the California Standardized Test will be administered May 12-23, 2008. Please contact your child's teacher for a complete testing schedule.

School T-Shirts- Galileo school t-shirts are now available for ordering! Price is $10 per shirt ($12 for sizes over XL). Sizes: Youth M/L; Adult S/M/L/XL/XXL/XXXL. Pick up an order form from your child's teacher or the office. If paying by check, make checks payable to GALILEO PTO. Payment deadline is Thursday, May 22, 2008.

Galileo Fun Field Day- After state testing, our PTO will be having a Fun Field Day! This will be lots of fun and students will be able to use tickets earned during testing at a variety of games and activities. Date TBD.

Memorial Day- There will be no school on May 26th, 2008 in observance of Memorial Day.

Math Team Competition- Galileo's Math Team will be competing in the district's Math Competition on Tuesday, May 27th, 2008. The Math Competition Finals will take place on Thursday, May 29th, 2008 at 9:30am. Good luck, Galileo Math Team!

Junior Olympics- Galileo will be participating in the district's Junior Olympics. This year, Galileo will be attending the Junior Olympics on June 2nd, 2008. The Junior Olympics will begin at 9:15am.

Elective Classes- The last day for elective classes is on Thursday, June 12, 2008.

California Distinguished School- Galileo Academy has been recognized as a California Distinguished School. California Distinguished School is an award given by the California State Board of Education to public schools within the state that best represent exemplary and quality educational programs. Approximately five percent of California schools are awarded this honor each year following a rigorous selection process. Eligibility is based on federal and state criteria including the No Child Left Behind program, Academic Performance Index (API), and Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP).Thank you and a big congratulations to all the staff, parents and students that made this possible!
