Meet the Principal

Meet the Principal
Mr. Devlin has been with Victor Elementary School District since 2006, when he became a 4th grade teacher at Challenger. During his senior year in college he attended a career fair in Montana where he was hired by VESD. He stayed teaching 4th grade at Challenger until the 2013/2014 school year when he transitioned to work in Educational Services for Professional Development as a Common Core coach. However, the following school year Mr. Devlin became principal at Galileo.
Mr. Devlin is from Missoula, Montana, where he attended Sentinel High School and went to the University of Montana. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and his Master’s in Science and Education Administration from National University. After high school his plan was to go into either the Naval Academy or the Coast Guard, but as he was given various opportunities to do volunteer work in classrooms and afterschool programs his mind changed. It was through these experiences where Mr. Devlin realized he loved what he was doing, prompting him to get his degree in Elementary Education to pursue a career path in education. He also loves all of all things outdoors, being at the lake, golf, hiking, spending time with his family, exploring, traveling and seeing new places.
